We provide online testing Monday-Thursday at 9:15 AM and 12:30 PM unless noted in the red banner at the top of the website. All times are Eastern Standard Time. Once your order is processed, you will receive a registration form via email to choose your dates and provide your student's information. The test is administered over two days and should be scheduled a minimum of two weeks in advance. Six months is required between test events with the same test and grade level. Once the test is set up, there is a $15 fee to change a date or receive a refund.
Test Type: Nationally Standardized Achievement Test multiple choice online that provides immediate scoring.
Purpose: To measure the skills and achievement of students in grade 3 (in the Spring) -12 in Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics and the optional tests of Social Studies, Science, and Sources of Information.
Grades: 3 Spring-12 (All Grades can test together)
Time: Untimed with flexible guidelines. While the SAT10 is untimed, a productive pace is expected and the time frame for completion is set. (9:15-1:00 or 12:30-4:15 PM) Prior arrangements should be made if additional time is needed. Additional charges may apply. The average time for completion is approximately 5.5 hours over 2 days. Tests taken January 16-July 31 will be normed for SPRING (put the grade they are currently in or just finished)
Tests taken August 1-January 15 will be normed for FALL (put the grade they are going into or just started)

Before Purchasing the Stanford-10 Online Test for Your Location:
- Make sure your computer meets the minimal system requirements.
- Run a system check to ensure your computer meets the minimum system requirments.
- Download the Pearson Browser. (Link found in the blue bar near the top of the page.) The browser creates a secure testing environment on your home computer.
After Purchasing the Stanford-10 Online Test for your location:
- A School Verification Form will autogenerate at checkout to confirm your homeschool or private school status.
- A Student Registration Form will be emailed within 24 hours. Please submit the form at least two weeks prior to your requested dates. Check the red banner at the top of the website for seasonal test dates and/or blocked dates.
- After we receive your registration form, we will email you confirmation of your testing dates.

On Scheduled Testing Days:

- Test session codes will be emailed by 8:30 AM for the tests that the student will complete on that day.
- The student will enter a test session code in the Pearson Browser. We will then approve the student for the session. (Please note that because we must approve the student for each session, it is very important that the schedule be followed in the order we give the codes with breaks being no longer than 10 minutes. Please call us at 919-387-7004 if you are waiting approval for more than a minute or two.)
- Since the Stanford test is not timed, there is no need to pause the test for a break. Simply take a 5-10 minute break without pausing so that we will not have to re-approve the student.
- Upon completion of the test, we will email the score report within 24-48 hours.
- Additional fees may apply if you need to test later in the day or for an additional day ($25/extra day). Once the test is set up there is a $15 fee to change dates or for a refund. No refund is given for cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to test date.
By using the Stanford Online test you pledge:
- Someone over 18 will monitor the testing environment
- Ensure that no outside resources are used (another computer, books, notes, etc.)
- Cell phones are turned off to prevent distractions or using them as a resource.
